I’m an art historian and presenter with a passion for uncovering the overlooked stories of the past.
I’m currently a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, an incoming PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, and I lead Interpretation in the permanent galleries at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford. My research focuses on nineteenth-century women’s history, particularly women in the religious sphere who shaped change through architecture, interiors, and patronage.
I’ve appeared on ITV, BBC Spotlight, BBC Radio 4, and BBC Cornwall, and hosted live interview series for the National Trust. I’ve presented and produced films for History Hit, including Beneath the Decay: Exploring Urbex (2021, Winner of the Kendal Mountain Festival’s ‘Women in Adventure’ short film), England’s Royal Churches (2023), and Travelling through a Methodist Cornwall (2024). Other presenting work includes Cornwall’s Maritime Churches (2022), a three-part series funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Exeter and Falmouth University.
With the Churches Conservation Trust, I’ve hosted Nights in the Nave, the Trust’s first champing podcast (2024), and chaired the Annual Lecture in 2025 with Sir Simon Jenkins. I’ve also fronted a wide range of content for CCT Digital, the Trust’s award-winning heritage video-on-demand service, where I’ve interviewed historians, clergy, volunteers, and community groups across the UK. To date, I’ve conducted and chaired more than 87 interviews for the CCT members’ programme, speaking with eminent historians including Janina Ramirez, Irving Finkel, Amber Butchart, Anna Keay, and Alex Langlands. I’m also set to interview Tracy Borman and Dan Jones for the Trust’s Christmas programme in 2025.
