Presenting.
Since 2021, when I was nominated at the Kendall Mountain Film Festival for Best Short Documentary, I’ve been writing and presenting history for TV, film, and radio. You can find all of my work collected on my YouTube channel, where I’ve also created a playlist of my BBC interviews. I’ve contributed to programmes such as Julie Skentlebery’s Morning Show and Tiffany Truscott’s Evening Show, as well as appearing on ITV News, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Spotlight discussing my earlier research on Barbary Piracy at the University of Exeter. I’ve also presented two documentaries for History Hit — Urban Exploring: Beneath the Decay and England’s Royal Churches. Other projects include Cornwall’s Maritime Churches (Exeter University feature), the Methodist Heritage film (event details here), and even a few adverts (Churches Conservation Trust). I have a passion for uncovering the stories of women who shaped history but were often overlooked. I’ve shared the legacy of Ellen Terry and Ellen Terry’s influence on performance and art, explored the courage of Flora MacDonald and the Jacobite women, and looked at the world and impact of Jane Austen.
